The kitesafari with Bigdayz was one of the best experiences of our lives! Air surfing and para kiting combine the power of the wind with the thrill of gliding—over water, dunes, and coastlines. Marco Köppel has experienced everything in over 20 years as a kite surfer. But when he began to break down the boundaries between kiting and paragliding, something completely new emerged: air surfing.
In air surfing, you surf the wind – in the air, tethered to a static rope. You fly within the radius of the rope, skim across the water, touch it, make turns, feel the wind. Without para kiting, air surfing would not be possible. In ParaKiting, you use a specially developed hybrid kite, such as the "Moustache" – a kite that combines the characteristics of kites and paragliders.
ParaKiting forms the basis for flying safely and in a controlled manner when AirSurfing later on.
